Expona Superplank PUR

The Polyflor Expona Superplank PUR brings together a broad range of wood-inspired and abstract designs in a single versatile collection. With 17 named colourways spanning light Scandinavian tones, warm oaks and contemporary abstract finishes, it offers genuine design flexibility for Australian homes and commercial spaces. The collection is rated across residential, general commercial and light commercial use areas, making it equally at home in a busy household as it is in a retail or hospitality setting.

Construction centres on a 2.0mm gauge format with a 0.55mm wear layer, finished with Polyflor's polyurethane reinforcement (PUR) treatment. The collection is available in three plank widths, 152.4mm, 184.2mm and 203.2mm, all at 1219.2mm in length, as well as a 304.8mm × 609.6mm tile format, giving installers the flexibility to mix formats across a space. The Expona Superplank PUR achieves an R10 slip resistance rating under both the Australian standard AS 4586 and the DIN standard, along with Class DS classification under EN 13893. Published acoustic test results include an impact sound reduction of 2dB, STC 55 and IIC 39. The product is confirmed suitable for underfloor heating at a maximum surface temperature of 27°C. Use area classification covers 23, 33 and 42 under ISO 10874, confirming suitability from residential living through to light commercial interiors. Residual indentation testing returns an average of less than 0.05mm, and the product is suitable for continuous castor chair use. The collection carries a broad suite of environmental certifications including GreenTag LCARate™ Gold, FloorScore, Finnish M1, Indoor Air Comfort Gold and REACH compliance, with up to 40% recycled content and 100% recyclability.

Maintenance follows Polyflor's standard care guidance: sweep or vacuum regularly, mop with a neutral cleaning solution diluted to the manufacturer's instructions and avoid abrasive products, solvents, bleach and highly coloured cleaners. Polishing is recommended by the manufacturer to assist with surface protection over time. Fit protective pads to furniture legs and use protective cups under heavy pieces.
