The Flooring Lab — Organic Collection — Engineered Timber Flooring
Some floors try to hide what timber really is. The Organic Collection does the opposite — it leads with every knot, filled crack, grain shift and natural marking that makes European Oak one of the world's most respected flooring timbers. This is a feature-grade collection in the truest sense: selected specifically for its rustic character, and finished in a way that keeps that character front and centre.
The Organic Collection is built on a Hevea core with a 3.2mm European Oak wear layer and finished to a total thickness of 14.2mm. Boards measure 1820mm × 190mm — a generous width that gives each plank room to display its natural variation — and are available across eight colourways: Coral, Fawn, Acacia, Cinnamon, Amber, Sierra, Savannah and Raven. The water-based UV matte coating (gloss value 4% ±2%) enhances the timber's raw appearance rather than masking it. Installed as a floating floor via tongue-and-groove or direct stick, the Organic Collection suits a range of subfloor types and configurations, subject to the manufacturer's installation requirements. The collection is graded Feature and carries a published slip rating of P3 and fire rating tested to AS ISO 9239.1-2003. Underfloor heating is supported subject to conditions detailed in The Flooring Lab's Underfloor Heating and Requirements document. The manufacturer's maintenance guide recommends regular sweeping or vacuuming with a soft-head attachment and periodic cleaning with a timber-specific commercial cleaner — straightforward care that protects the floor and keeps the warranty intact.
The manufacturer backs the Organic Collection with a Lifetime Structural Warranty covering delamination, twisting and deformation, and a 25-Year Wear Warranty on the coating system, both subject to installation and maintenance in accordance with The Flooring Lab's published guidelines. The product is E1 rated for VOC emissions, with FSC and PEFC certification available on request.
