The Preference Classic Laminate is a cost-competitive laminate collection designed to bring popular Australian timber visuals into residential interiors. Preference Floors positions it as a practical and highly effective solution for refreshing most interior decors, pairing accessible pricing with an FSC certified HDF core and a high-sheen gloss finish that delivers visual warmth across a wide range of living spaces.

Constructed on an FSC certified HDF core, the Classic Laminate is finished to 65% gloss with an AC3 surface coating and a 4 Real Wood Feel surface texture. The standard range is available in plank dimensions of 1215 × 125 × 12.3mm with a 4-sided micro bevel profile, as well as an XL format of 1800 × 123 × 12.3mm. An 8mm AC3 option and a wider 193mm × 12mm AC4 variant are also available within the collection. Eleven named colourways cover the full Australian timber palette, from Blackbutt and Mountain Spotted Gum to European Oak, Jarrah and Merbau. The Domain Flooring showroom in Carnegie carries Preference Floors products, and visiting in person remains the best way to assess colour, tone and surface texture before committing to a selection.

Installation follows a floating click system using an Angle/Angle Clic profile licensed by Flooring Industries. An acoustic underlay with moisture barrier is required for all floating installations. When installed with Preference Floors' 2mm Ultra Green Foam U'Lay underlay, the 12mm Classic has achieved a tested acoustic result of L'nT,w = 45 on a concrete slab, which Preference Floors confirms complies with NCC/BCA 2016 multi-residential requirements. Preference Floors confirms the product is suitable for installation over In-Slab Hydronic Heating only; no other underfloor heating system is covered by the warranty. The product is designed for interior residential and light commercial use and must not be installed in wet areas such as bathrooms.

The Classic Laminate is backed by a 25 Year Limited Lifetime Structural Warranty and a 20 Year Limited Residential Wear Warranty, along with a 5 Year Limited Commercial Wear Warranty. All warranty provisions are subject to installation and maintenance being carried out strictly in accordance with Preference Floors' published guidelines. Formaldehyde emissions have been independently tested and fall below E1 limits as recommended by the WHO.

Best suited to: Residential interiors including living rooms, bedrooms, dining areas, hallways and light commercial spaces (as stated by the manufacturer). Interior use only. Not suitable for wet areas.
