Each plank is built to an 8mm total thickness — 6.5mm RCB core plus a pre-attached 1.5mm cross-linked IXPE acoustic foam layer — with a 0.7mm wear layer and matte water-based PU coating on the surface. The Micro Bevel Edges with V4 profile give a convincing plank definition to the finished floor. The 178mm Australian timber décors feature an embossed surface, and the wider 223mm contemporary décors incorporate advanced embossing techniques with 8 design orientations to deliver pattern variety across the floor. Preference Floors describes the Aspire RCB as interior water resistant, suitable for interior installations. The product holds a P3 slip rating (Wet Pendulum, slider 96; AS 4586:2013 Appendix A). The 8mm format achieves tested acoustic results of L'nTw = 42 and FIIC = 64 with an AAAC 5 Star Rating, complying with NCC requirements for multi-residential apartments. For homes with hydronic in-slab underfloor heating, the Aspire RCB is compatible with proper pre- and post-installation procedures, provided the floor surface temperature does not exceed 27°C. The Aspire RCB carries a 25-year structural warranty, a 20-year residential wear warranty and a 5-year commercial warranty. All installations require 200µm builders' film beneath the floor as a mandatory condition of warranty compliance.
